About the Summit
Inovo’s 4th annual Innovation Summit was held in Chicago on September 22 – 23rd. It is an annual forum specifically designed to enable a select cross-section of industry innovation leaders (Director level and above) to engage in an intimate, extended dialogue on innovation topics that matter most to them. Inovo moderates two intense half-day sessions with a special mixer event the evening in between.
This year, eighteen innovation leaders from a diverse variety of large, non-competing companies met for a full day and a half in an intense, focused and highly interactive series of sessions to discuss the theory and the practice of innovation, now and in the future. Together we explored complex topics in a series of participatory interactions using a variety of dynamic facilitation styles to wrestle with the most pressing issues facing innovators at large companies.
Each year participants walk away with new insights, expanded networks and a fresh look at their own situation. Inovo is committed to innovating innovation and thereby making this experience one of the hallmark events for innovation thought leaders.
I recognize the complexities that go into this type of event so I was very impressed. The caliber of people was exceptional and I really liked the topics. I would absolutely come again and I believe it would be good for our General Managers to come to an event like this as well. I really enjoyed the summit.
Kim Saville – Saint Gobain
This was one of the more interactive event’s I’ve been to. It was an impressive group and the event was very well organized. It was the right amount of time to get away from the office and have enough time to discuss. I got a lot of new insights.
Ken Czech – Focal Point Lighting
I have been to a lot of these types of events and think this is one of the best. I’d go again next year. The participants we’re spot-on with a healthy mix of B2B and B2C. Everyone shared enough to have a healthy discussion.
Shirley Drazba – IDEX Corp.
Getting innovation practitioners in a room to not only share but become educated on new concepts is extremely valuable. The design of this event was very well thought out and the diversity of people Inovo brought together was great.
Cindy Gier, Kelly Services
This is one of the two innovation events I go to each year. I give and receive more practical knowledge at this event than at any other conference or show.
Steve Fahrenholtz, General Mills
